GARDA - AMPHITHEATER

Garda still have its original features of a typical fishing village. At the time of the first barbarian invasions it is said that on the "Rocca" (the hill overlooking the bay of Garda) a fortress have been built with military and defensive purposes. It was was called "warda" (the guard).
Since then the Lake changed its name: from "Benàco" it became "Lake Garda".
